Keith Haring in Coney Island
In 1988, I followed along as artist Keith Haring helped students at a public school in Coney Island create a mural for The National Dance Institute. He was low key, collaborative and kind. Less than two years later he was gone.
The assignments I shot as a young photographer took me into situations that I could have never predicted.
